vPconfiguration

The vPconfig program communicates with the vPtracker via the PC’s COM port. The cable that is included in the vPtracker box, should be connected to the PC's COM port and the vPtracker. If your PC does not have a COM port it is possible to utilise a USB-COM port adapter. The adapter can be purchased at any Computer Store.

You need to install the vPconfig program on your PC. The program uses Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1.4322. If this is not installed on your PC, you also need to install this. Please note that you need this version of .NET framework. Version 2.0 will not allow you to install the program. You can have .NET v1.1.4322 and .NET v2.0 installed on the PC at the same time.

If .NET Framework is installed, it will be shown in Administrative Tools - Windows Control Panel. Use properties to check the version. If you do not have .NET, or you do not have the right version, the version can be found on Microsoft's download server here (if you have an older version of .NET Framework, you should uninstall the old version before installing v1.1.4322).
